The portable Infrascanner Model 2000 uses Near-Infrared (NIR) technology to screen patients for intracranial bleeding, identifying those who would most benefit from immediate referral to a CT scan and neurosurgical intervention. For the injured, it may be considered a critical triage device.

Features:

•  Two disposable light guides optically couple to the patient's head.
•  Digitized signal analyzed by Single Board Computer (SBC) within the sensor,? and the same optimizes data quality.
•  On-screen readout.
•  Activation and deactivation accomplished by placing a disposable shield on the sensor (On) or removing it (Off).
•  Power supply: rechargeable NiMH battery pack or four (4) disposable AA batteries.
•  Cradle serves as a recharge base and as a data terminal between the Infrascanner Model 2000 and a personal computer.
